As Market Access Director/Manager CPS ​your responsibilities will be:



  • Responsibility for the successful launch and maintenance of Roche Diagnostics in the area with a specific focus on high medical value technologies as well as Personalized Healthcare Solutions. Close collaboration with the Regional Market Access & Health Policy Teams as well as the LifeCycle Teams, MSA, business/technology teams and representatives from the region, affiliates and other functions or Business areas in Roche Diagnostics and or external partners is indicated. Alignment with Roche Pharma when necessary. 

  • Lead the development and execution of the global market access, (health policy) and payer value strategy, plans and tactics, including related functional strategies, such as health economics, economic evidence generation, strategic pricing, KOL/payer engagement, launch sequencing and market access publications across all affiliates.

  • You steer product launches by advising, educating and supporting teams and as they develop, implement and manage launch & access strategies, define health policy activities, goals and objectives, roadmaps, alliances and partnerships with internal and external key stakeholders, as well as supporting overarching business priorities, supporting Roche’s role in Personalized Healthcare and Value-Based-Healthcare, defining Roche Diagnostics global access policies, ensuring alignment and synergies with other functions to support and facilitate access of Roche CPS technologies in your focus.

  • Given the nature of this position the leader will take ownership of providing various cross-functional partners, stakeholders and business teams with counsel and guidance, expanding the Market Access (& Health Policy) network throughout the globe and will also be a standing or ad hoc member of various internal teams, e.g., IBTs, eIBT, Working Groups, sub teams, as well as external collaboration teams. He will drive the Global Payer Strategy Groups (PSG) within his assigned disease areas in collaboration with the LCTs, IBTs, etc.

  • The Global MAx Director/Manager will establish and maintain excellent relationships to key external stakeholders like payers, policy makers & politicians, Ministry of Health & other governmental bodies, economic influential KOL’s, patient organizations, medical associations, assessors, medical technology trade organizations (MTE – MedTech Europe), etc. 


 
The Director/Manager in the role will:



  • Be an indispensable partner to the global business partners in the assigned disease areas (LCT’s, IBLs, etc.) 

  • Represent MAx within the global and / or regional cross functional business teams alongside the commercial, medical, HR and finance leaders, and in the access workstream in Roche CDx Value/Cost teams. Share initiatives and provide regional Market Access input and strategic perspective into global teams, discussion and decisions, being the single point of contact for all access and policy relevant pricing requests and initiatives that need to be aligned with the regional team.

  • Attend and provide constructive feedback at global business and budget reviews to support excellence in global/regional/local market access (& health policy) strategies and the development of market access (& health policy) capabilities, as well as the execution of the CDx Value/Cost Share Program or other strategic access initiatives

  • Formulate and lead the global Market Access (& Health Policy) Excellence Framework within the assigned disease area and the annual global Access Plan, develop and implement Market Access (& Health Policy) strategies and supervise implementation

  • Define and execute primary and secondary market access (& health policy) research and assessments to generate payer (& policy maker) insights and incorporate an in-depth understanding of various stakeholder needs

  • Enhance access opportunities by helping regions and selected affiliates to assess healthcare systems/payer(/policy maker) landscapes to identify funding gaps and opportunities to expand access and commercial potential

  • Prepare regions and selected affiliates for launch with regards to the development of customized payer(/policy maker) value propositions and provide input into the development of global deliverables

  • Guide the development of access frameworks, quality standards, callable and sustainable processes and key performance indicators for Market Access & Health Policy

  • Maintain best practice sharing regarding the above motioned topics across the region and coach the organization and/or access-related teams applying experience


To be successful in this role you fulfil the following criteria:



  • MBA or degree in health economics, life sciences, public health, business or marketing disciplines, with a 10 or more years professional experience in relevant positions

  • Significant (minimum 8 years) experience in a relevant Market Access role of which has been gained in different healthcare systems preferable in the IVD or other medical technology areas, as well as pharma industry

  • Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing innovative/breakthrough access, health policy and/or pricing & reimbursement strategies and opportunities 

  • Excellent knowledge of health policy and reimbursement environment, and payer decision making pathways in the region, including in-depth knowledge of payer evidence and value requirements

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, being able to synthesize complex issues and large amounts to quantitative and qualitative information into logical recommendation and strategies

  • Strong influencing and facilitation skills, with proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and/or multi-cultural environments, and have shown leadership to build sustainable relationships

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in English, German and/or other languages is advantageous

  • Flexible to travel internationally up to 40%
