The Future ERP Roadmap is a multi-year program which aims at enabling Roche to be sustainably successful in the future by streamlining and simplifying its business model and systems globally covering the following aspects:


•           Harmonizing and standardizing processes and global master data


•           Simplifying the system landscape and interfaces


•           Optimizing supply chain to realize efficiencies


•           Digitalizing and automating procurement processes


As the Future ERP Global Application Lifecycle Management Lead you are responsible for establishing and managing Roche ERP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) to align, simplify and streamline the tools and ensure a robust and consistent delivery of Future ERP solutions.


Your primary responsibilities include:



  • Develop, set-up and manage Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) concept and capability, develop and oversee release management for future ERP solutions (incl. S/4 HANA) at Roche globally: Operational Control Center, Project Management, Change and Release Process, Documentation Methodology and Testing

  • Own the ALM platforms end to end (Design, Build, Test, Run) including SAP Solution Manager and others (eg testing solution etc…)

  • Define ALM functionalities and tools (SAP SolMan) for managing the future ERP solutions lifecycle (incl. S/4 HANA) from process definition / business requirements gathering stage through delivery and test, ensuring controls and security for the solutions and systems

  • Establish ALM processes and ensure that the development and operations teams adhere to the processes rigorously

  • Ensure successful delivery of the SAP Solman ALM project and other ALM projects part of Future ERP

  • Partner with Audit, IT Controls and Information Security teams to ensure adoption of controls, reduce risks and improve security

  • Establish integrated change control (across ERP pillars) and scope change leveraging SAP Solution Manager

  • Work closely with PMO heads and PMs to ensure tracking, reporting and timely execution of activities, deliveries of the solutions according to plan

  • Work closely with IT Quality, Validation and Compliance teams

  • Manage resources both internal and external


You bring the following qualifications:



  • Educated to Master’s, MBA degree level or equivalent in business or IT

  • 12+ years of experience in a global enterprise in the Pharma industry, delivering SAP ERP solutions in transformational projects

  • 12+ years of hands on experience in SAP ERP and large scale SAP rollouts, preferably in Pharma/healthcare industry

  • 4+ years of hands on experience in SAP ERP Application Lifecycle Management, using SAP Solution Manager

  • 12+ years of hands on experience in project management, focusing on implementation projects, typically in the area of Lifesciences and IT, business innovation or laboratory information systems (ERP, MES, QMS, Clinical Systems, Finance, Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain Planning…)

  • Good knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA desirable

  • Experience in consultancy, strategy design and change are a strong advantage

  • Experience in presenting and negotiating effectively whilst building strong partnerships

  • Outstanding communication skills are essential with the ability to communicate credibly at all levels; influence key stakeholders in a highly complex cross-functional environment and build collaborative relationships to ensure seamless program and project delivery

  • Excellent leadership, management and interpersonal skills in large multi-national enterprise as well as experience in delivering projects using Roche project management methodology (PMM) or equivalent

  • Strong organizational, analytical, methodological and influential skills 

  • Strong leader with excellent record tracking of team management (both direct and indirect line management)

  • Ability to capture complex problems, analyze them and translate them into solutions

  • Autonomous, structured and goal-oriented working methods and a good team player

  • C-level fluency in English
