In our Diagnostics Workflow & IT organization, we provide innovative automation solutions supporting Diagnostic Laboratories to optimize their workflow/intra-logistic processes, which results in an improvement in testing efficiency, service to clinicians and provided patient care. With the most complete portfolio in the market, we offer the best customized solution for every lab (low-, mid- and high-volume laboratories).

We look for a team manager who will develop, support and coach a multi-disciplinary team engaged in IT and Workflow Products.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Responsible for building the System Definition and Design Team
  
  
  
  • Leading a team of about 10 System Engineers, Requirements involved in several medical lab automation projects
  
  
  • Coach and support the team members in realizing their project targets
  
  


• Line Management of team members
  
  
  
  • Effectively lead a highly effective and engaged team, ensuring time and resources are appropriately allocated to the project needs
  
  
  • Accountable to hire, develop and retain a broad talent base in the organization
  
  


• Capability Management
  
  
  
  • Identify the gap between present capabilities and the ones required for successfully defining and designing systems, solutions as well as interfaces between systems and system components
  
  
  • Define measures and report key performance indicators for enabling the team to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness
  
  


• Ensure that domain knowledge is transferred from project and individuals to the organizational unit and programs / projects


• Permanently optimize processes in order to increase quality and efficiency standards

You bring the following qualifications:

• Experience in leading engineering teams


• Experience in the diagnostics industry or Medical Lab Automation is an advantage


• University degree in Life Sciences or Engineering


• Solid working knowledge in requirements engineering & systems engineering


• Preferably you master Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE)


• Excellent communication and presentation skills


• Fluent in English written and spoken (advanced level or similar), German is an advantage
