The Partner Security Specialist will be part of a worldwide team in the PPS managed services organization empowering HP Partners to lead with security. The Security Specialist will act as the security subject matter experts supporting partners, their customers as well as internal HP needs. This position requires demonstrating thought leadership, sales leadership and delivery leadership. The Security Specialist will educate around the current security environment, risks and regulation, and how the printing environment is impacted. They will share best practices or solutions to reduce risk and non-compliance. The Partner Security Specialist will provide subject matter knowledge on print security and HP print security offerings to solve common and complex business issues. This is a trusted advisor position and requires ethical security judgement.


The ideal Partner Security Specialist will have the ability to understand and solve problems of diverse complexity and scope. They will be expected to exercise independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select solutions. The security and print industry are evolving and the Specialist will be expected to evolve business and engagement strategies to meet the need. The Security Specialist will develop their own continuing education plans to remain relevant in cybersecurity.


Responsibilities:



  • Serves as a print security expert to partners for information regarding cybersecurity, focusing on how it related to printing

  • Positions HP products, services, and software when appropriate to address risks

  • Educates and updates partners on new HP security technologies or solutions. May be brought in by partners to sell HP brand to end customers.

  • Represents HP Print Security at internal, partner, and customer facing events.

  • Establishes and maintains account plans to promote sales growth.

  • Achieves partner engagement goals as well as HP product, service, and software.

  • Creates, fills-in and manages HP security funnel for deals with partners and transforms potential leads into joint sales activities.

  • Establishes relationship with partner at all organization levels including senior executives.

  • Ensures partners are compliant with legal and SBC practices.


Education and Experience Required:



  • University or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Proven public speaking experience required

  • 2-5 years of selling experience at end-user account or partner level

  • 2-5 years of relationship management experience

  • Basic security certification required (ex. CompTia Security+)

  • Additional security certifications desired (ISACA, EC-Council, (ISC)2, GIAC, etc.)


Knowledge and Skills:



  • English and German language fluent

  • Solid understanding of foundational security principles required

  • Presentation skills: ability to present to C-Level Executives, manage the direction of the conversation, in the time given

  • Awareness of HP's products, software, and services, focusing on Security

  • Ability to communicate the strengths of one offering over another, and overcome objections.

  • Ability to build strategic relationships with partner decision makers; and promoting HP programs and offerings.

  • Partners effectively with others in an account to ensure coordinated efficient account management.

  • Ability to motivate partner's sales force.
