HR Director - Netherlands

 Mission 

Reporting to the Regional Head of HR for Northern Europe (solid) and to the Country Manager of The Adecco Group The Netherlands (dotted), the HR Director is a member of the Management Team of The Adecco Group NL, and will provide a broad range of human resource services in support of business objectives and human resource initiatives in alignment with the Global HR strategies.

 

Partnering closely with the Dutch leadership team and business partners, the primary objective of the HR & Director will be to build a high performing, people-focused culture that drives business results and develops strategic organizational effectiveness initiatives that enhance performance, productivity, and employee engagement within the region. Additionally, the role is responsible for Legal matters and he/she ensures that Group policies, local legislation and regulations are adhered to.

  Responsibilities 

  • Attract and acquire high calibre talent for key roles applying The Adecco Group selection and assessment methodology

  • Ensure consistent and effective on-boarding is in place for new recruits

  • Represent The Adecco Group as leader in HR field with a personal engagement

  • Foster a culture of positive employee relations and engagement in the business to maximize productivity

  • Ensure regular employee surveys (for e.g. Great Place to Work & Peakon) are conducted and followed up with effective action plans

  • Drive talent management strategy powered by regular talent reviews and talent action meetings to build a strong leadership pipeline

  • Drive change management in an environment of transformation plan (Grow Together program based on digital and upskilling)

  • Ensure identification, development and subsequent succession of talent into the leadership roles

  • Provide coaching to the management team

  • Partner with Management to drive and implement all processes in HR lifecycle to ensure the right persons are in the right place at the right time

  • Ensure effective performance management process is in place based on competency framework

  • Create and drive rewards and compensation strategy supported by compensation and benefit policies and recognition tools and practices that drive business performance and retain and motivate talent

  • Maintain and ensure efficient and effective HR operations and personnel administration in line with legal requirements and HR policies/processes

  • Ensure open and timely internal communication on all colleague-related matters, in collaboration with the Marketing & Communication Department.

  • Manage social relations pro-actively throughlocal works councils and trade unions.

  • In coordination with the Finance Department, manage the HR budget (headcount, fixed and variable salary, training/HR costs)

  • Drive projects with a synthetic and impactful dashboard to increase effectiveness of the position

  • Lead the development of The Adecco Group culture through our core values and the global competency framework

  • Act as role model to the organization

  • Promote HR Thought Leadership across internal and external networks

  • Work with the leadership team and talent to create a strong performance culture

  Experience 

  • University degree with Post Graduate Degree in HR Management preferred

  • Experience in a senior HR management position of comparable complexity

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a comparable role in a multinational organization

  • Proven track record of having worked in an international, commercial and service oriented environment 

  • Extensive transformation know-how and experience

  • Ability to analyse and implement and follow up actions plans based on KPI

  • Knowledge of how to communicate on crisis situations

  • Knowledge of public presentation techniques and how to apply

  • Knowledge of labor legislation and laws related to the staffing industry
