Ihre Aufgaben

For our Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) division, which is the world's leading manufacturer of laboratory balances, we are looking for an experienced Technical Writer – Technischer Redaktor (f/m) 50% to reinforce our dedicated documentation team. In R&D, we create the customer manuals and service manuals from A to Z for high-precision laboratory balances and other laboratory instruments that determine measurement results on a gravimetric principle. This role is based at our global operational headquarter in Greifensee/Nänikon.

Key responsibilities:



  • Writing and editing the User Documentation for laboratory weighing instruments in English

  • Working closely with R&D and product management to support customer documentation needs

  • You act as an interface function between our Development and the clients

  • Creating complex documentation content (Text, Photographs and Illustrations)

  • Using general and internal guidelines and standards for technical documentation

  • Coordinating timelines with external partners (translations, printing)

  • Working with a Content Management System (CMS) and DTP software


Ihr Profil


Following requirements are necessary for this role:



  • Degree in Technical Documentation or similar (Federal Diploma as a Technical Editor)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer

  • Experience with CMS tools (ideally SCHEMA ST4)

  • Skills in creating technical illustrations (IsoDraw, Adobe CC, Photography)

  • Ability to think and act structured

  • Experience in using terminology and working with Function design® nice to have 

  • Technical English and fluent German skills are a must
