Junior Sales Manager Food & Beverage Industry (90-100%, as per May 1, 2019 or upon agreement)

We are currently looking for a motivated and passionate colleague to join our Food & Beverage Industry team our office in Zurich Seefeld. In this exciting position, you will be responsible for your own sales targets and new business development mainly with ingredients for food Supplements.




Key responsibilities



  • Direct sales responsibility as Sales Manager for the business cluster ‘food ingredients and supplements’

  • Manage and develop the assigned supplier and customer base, manage the product portfolio and generate new business opportunities (up to 50% travelling)

  • Represent DKSH at exhibitions and trade fairs

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers based in Europe and Asia through joint visits and regular reporting to support mutual growth

  • Prepare forecasts, market reports as well as regular competitor and market surveys

  • Update and maintain projects and compile meeting reports in our CRM system (Salesforce)

  • Working together with a Sales Support to effectively manage the day to day business


Job requirements



  • Degree or professional qualification in food technology and/or nutrition science

  • 1 – 3 years relevant work experience, ideally in a similar role in the food & beverage industry, preferably within the area of food supplements

  • Drive, passion for customers and sales, willingness to go the extra mile

  • Self-starter, capable of managing customer visits schedule and territory effectively

  • Dedicated team player with strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Perseverance with a pro-active, diligent, well-organized and precise way of working

  • Good knowledge about MS Office, i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Excellent oral and written language skills in German and English; any other language is beneficial
