About the Role


Within Group Finance IT we are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to grow our service Group Finance Submission. The service is coordinating all group finance business aspects in Finance IT, focussing on the group financial accounting business applications, databases and reporting used for group financial reporting on standards such as US Gapp and economic value management. It enables all relevant data sources to submit and release their data to Group Finance in a controlled and guided way.


 


In this role you will be communicating with and collaborating together with a global user community at all corporate managing levels.


 


Your will be responsible to actively support the activities around the group financial reporting processes (The design of meta data architectures; develop, test and rollout of new reporting components and workflow; maintain and support of the group operative processe; lead and contribute the Group change management processes, configure the financial reporting database, access, workflow and reporting tools) and lead or contribute to group finance projects from Finance IT side (project management, analyse business requirements for group financial accounting tools, testing and rollout of those tool components).


 


Your job will include:


Lead or contribute to Group Finance IT projects, change management and operative processes together with all stakeholders, business experts and application engineers
 



  • work out, discuss, analyse, document and communicate business requirements for new and existing business and reporting processes, databases or reporting solutions;

  • analyse, design and configure meta data models for existing and new databases

  • document and communicate change requests, business cases, user manuals for internal and external use

  • analyse and write user stories and test cases for group financial applications

  • perform tests of various database, reporting or tool components

  • plan and steer testing and rollouts including user trainings

  • communicate with and present to a wide user community and application engineers

  • perform 3rd level user support of the productive processes and applications

About You



  • University degree or higher professional education in accounting, finance, data processing, economic computer science or business analyses or experience in respective business areas

  • Experiences in working in a major enterprise contributing to IT or finance projects

  • Strong teamplayer in a global environment with business experts and application engineers

  • Strong knowledge in Financial accounting and insurance or reinsurance knowledge

  • Good understanding of application engineering, data architecture and data mining

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • High level of abstraction, fast understanding and conceptual thinking

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Good command of English, German is desirable

  • Good knowledge/experience in SQL, Microsoft Office tools (in particular Microsoft Excel) and Share Point

  • Experience in prototyping, programming and scripting languages (Python, Scala, VBA) would be beneficiary

  • Project management and SCRUM knowledge would be beneficiary
