Your responsibilities
The student will join a lab working on the collaboration between scientists and farmers. He or she will examine how science influences farmers’ working habits and their perception of nature conservation. This project is clearly interdisciplinary by bringing together the fields of biology and social psychology.
PhD students (assistants-diplômés) in our department assist in teaching and supervise master students (up to 25% of the activity). At least 50% of the working time is devoted to personal thesis research. During the first year of employment, the monthly gross salary at 80%, is CHF 4’333.-. (income taxes and social charges to be deducted).
Your qualifications
We are seeking candidates with a Master in Biology and with a strong interest in social psychology. French proficiency is mandatory for this position since the farmers to interact with generally speak French only. Moreover, since the working language in the group and in the department is English for all scientific matters very good command of English is necessary too.
