Lunaphore Technologies is a young start-up active in the medtech field developing a
product based on a microfluidic technology to analyze tissue samples for cancer
research and diagnostics. Lunaphore is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our
team and contribute directly to the development and growth of the company.


Summary
We are looking for an ‘Application Development Scientist’ to develop novel sequencing
assays on tissue samples using in-house developed state of the art sample processing
tools. This role will involve tasks performed in the scope of a collaborative European
project on In-Situ Sequencing with multiple industrial and academic partners.


Role/Responsibilities



  • This position reports to the Head of Application Development.

  • Development and optimization of spatial transcriptomics assays, particularly in-
    situ sequencing methods, on tissue samples using Lunaphore’s microfluidic
    platform.

  • Data acquisition and analysis, reporting of results.

  • Contributing to the continuous development of the device and testing new
    prototypes.

  • The role will involve occasional travel to project partners’ sites.


Required qualifications



  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or a related field.

  • Experience in assay development for in-situ analysis of tissue samples.

  • Experience in molecular techniques, particularly in the field of next-generation
    sequencing and RT qPCR.

  • Experience in handling microfluidics devices is highly desired.
