Internal Auditor

Reporting to the Internal Auditor Director, the Auditor is responsible for the timely execution of risk-based audits in accordance with the annual audit plan.  Applies risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identifies any potential issues. Communicates identified issues with the head of internal audit to ensure any potential concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

Provide value-added advice and support to business partners on the creation or modification of policies, procedures, processes, products or services to ensure an appropriate level of internal control and compliance is maintained.
Jon location: Stabio, Switzerland.
Business trips or missions (to Italy and overseas) may be required.



  • Conduct risk assessment of assigned department or functional area in established/required timeline

  • Establish risk based audit programs;

  • Analysis and support to the definition of business processes;

  • Analysis of the system of internal control and of the organization;

  • draft comprehensive and complete report of audit area;

  • Support of policies guidelines definition without impairing independence.


 



  • University degree in accounting, finance or the equivalent;

  • Min. 3  years of relevant experience as financial auditor,  ideally matured in a BIG 4 followed by a min. 2/3 year experience in corporate internal audit in industrial companies (luxury / fashion  business a plus);

  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements;

  • Working knowledge of professional IIA performance standards (certified CIA a plus);

  • Knowledge of Law 231 requirements;

  • Solid understanding of risk and control concepts. Ability to apply these concepts to evaluate th adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls;

  • Fluency in spoken and written English;

  • Ability to interact with different hierarchical levels of the organization;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP FI/CO

  • Willingness to travel (3/4 times per year 2 weeks);

  • Unquestioned personal integrity with strong ethics;

  • Displays awareness of the need for confidentially in sensitive matters;

  • Demonstrated job commitment and personal flexibility to meet changing expectations
