Your responsibilities
Developing, testing and deploying streaming data architectures for process data (likely technology is Apache Kafka)
Investigating and implementing data storage architectures and compression for plant process data
Optimisation of hardware and cloud resources
Developing automated training data tagging systems for eventual use in machine learning applications
Developing data analytics and visualizations for management and customer reporting
Your experiences
Self-motivation and disciplined work ethics with a strong interest in self learning
Solid programming experience in ether Java or Python (the primary language at HZI is Python, other languages may be considered)
Understanding of databases fundamentals
Understanding of distributed computing and micro service architecture principals
Experience in a data orientated discipline (e.g. science and engineering, computer science) is an asset
Experience using the Python library pandas is advantageous
