Lead Systems Engineer for UCS / GCS / RPS – 100% (m/f)

projects? We are looking for a system engineer that is keen to take on the challenge to engage in the
development with our unmanned control station (UCS as per STANAG 4586, otherwise known as Remote
Pilot Station (ICAO) or commonly known as ground control station (GCS)) to deliver first class remotely
piloted aircraft systems to our customers.

Your responsibilities:
The first is step is to take ownership of systems design and to coordinate the project activities between the
involved teams with the following responsibilities:



  • Take full responsibility for all planning activities for the Ground Control Station projects and for
    coordination of the workpackages between internal and external project team

  • Support customer projects kick-off phase by participation in side surveys and preparation of
    technical proposals

  • Perform system level design activities to meet customer requirements

  • Support the development and implementation of new GCS functions and equipment in order to
    meet future customers’ needs

  • Work closely with other project members to define system design requirements

  • Work with other groups such as software engineering, mechanical engineering, project
    management as well as flight test to facilitate task completion

  • Perform or coordinate the design data preparation such as system specifications, engineering
    drawings (mechanical and electrical design), analysis and test documents

  • Organise project and technical review meetings with internal and external stakeholders

  • Oversee engineering tasks and work closely with production and procurement on the manufacturing
    and integration of new and existing GCS products

  • Participate in Human Factors working group meeting to further improve the GCS capabilities and
    design.


Your qualifications:



  • Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent discipline

  • At least 5 years’ experience in development of complex system, preferably in aerospace industry

  • Experience in management of development projects with internal and external stakeholders

  • Knowledge of avionics system/safety development standards such as ARP4754 and ARP4761 is
    highly desirable

  • Good English language skills, both verbal and in writing, a working knowledge of the German
    language will be an advantage

  • Good team player skills, self-driven attitude and the ability to work to fixed deadlines
