As a R&D Technician in Cell Culture & gut barrier , you will execute and report laboratory activities according to project planning, under scientist supervision in compliance with good laboratory practices and safety rules.                             


                           


Key responsibilities 

  • Manage cell culture with various cell types (e.g. intestinal epithelial cells, immune cells and enteric neurons) and co-cultures

  • Propose/optimize cell culture conditions for testing specific bioactive nutrients and to select readout of interest         

  • Prepare and carry out laboratory analysis according to protocols from preclinical and clinical experiments

  • Be knowledgeable in various biochemistry and molecular biology analysis: protein and DNA/RNA extraction, immunology assays (ELISA), Gene expression, Western blots

  • Present results at group or project level

  • Contribute to result analysis with scientists

  • Write technical notes, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Participate in method’s writing in publications, R&D reports

  • Share technical knowledge with colleagues and support trainees and master students  


Required Profile

  • CFC or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of experience in research laboratory and especially in the field of cell culture, protein and RNA analysis

  • Has contributed to method’s validation

  • Knowledge of HPLC, immunocytochemistry and/or microscopy image analysis would be appreciated

  • Fluent in English or French with good knowledge of the other language
