QA Engineer

The Crowdhouse engineering team in Zurich is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a QA Engineer who will be responsible and accountable for testing and as delivering in a timely fashion. Our goal is to develop amazing products fast and in high quality. Within this role, you would help us to build a cross-functional team of specializing generalists that are able to produce, improve and maintain our product in a way that over-delivers on the wishes of the users.

Responsibilities

We admire candidates who want to make a strong engineering impact on every part of the project, therefore, you will:

• Contribute to the business grow with your quality assurance skills to develop, analyse, test and plan user stories


• Integrate your skills with other product developers and look over the best collaboration


• Improve our software lifecycle, design and architecture of the platform


• Follow and improve quality guidelines and co-produce high-quality products


• Help other disciplines outside of own expertise if needed


• Flag risks and blockages during product development and actively work solving Blockers


• Communicate well and align with other teams

Skills And Qualifications

• Solid understanding of testing principles and QA methodologies


• Excellent Software Development skills


• Track Record of delivered test automation projects


• Advanced test case and test planning skills


• Solid knowledge and experience working with UNIX systems, scripting and database querying


• Hands-on experience working with different browsers, devices, viewports


• Good understanding of testing tools and frameworks


• Knowledge of CI/CD systems


• Experience working with JavaScript automated testing is a big plus


• Ability to understand and learn crucial Business Processes


• Working experience with cross-functional teams and agile methodologies


• Willingness to take on work outside of their core skill set


• Open, honest, performance oriented


• Excellent communication skills in English

Your team

We have 3 product squads, 1 platform squad, 1 innovation squad and a Salesforce squad (The Optimisers). Your main task at the beginning will be the full support and collaboration with product squads.
