The category cluster General Services encompasses categories IT, Consulting, Personnel Management & Marketing.  The maturity of this cluster varies by categories where in categories like IT and Consulting are predominantly global with majority of spend concentrated at the group & regional head offices where as Marketing is managed locally and personnel management in between.


 


Global Category Manager (GCM) – General Services in strong coordination with the countries procurement teams will not only be leading the category strategy, but also identify the best practices among countries and will play a key role in encouraging the other countries in implementing them. Being accountable for the global category performance, GCM General Services is in charge of defining, developing and executing with the Countries global sourcing strategies which are innovative and drive competitive advantage for the Group resulting in significant EBITDA contribution. Aligning and driving performance for all subject Category Managers, he is ensuring that Procurement strategy, ambitions, savings, and objectives are achieved. Animating a Network of Experts including main Stakeholder, he coordinates category teams and ensures the successful overview and execution of category strategies.


 


Responsibilities



  • With absolute cost decease mindset, act as the Cost Challenger for the Group for the category cluster managed

  • Commercially responsible and accountable for the category globally, leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams

  • Animate a Network of Expert including (i) local General Services Category manager, (ii) Group & Regional IT leadership teams, (iii) Group & Regional HR & Finance leadership teams, (iv) Country leadership teams (v) other  key users, thru proper communication and regional webinar to coordinate category teams and  ensure the successful implementation of the category strategies

  • Coordinate the category globally for the Group by supervising suppliers’ development in various countries of LH

  • Drive and manage target setting and monitor results for the category for all countries, and ensure that all ambitions and objectives are communicated and achieved at the global, zone, and local levels.

  • Key / Large Suppliers Management and Contract Negotiation:Develop and maintain relationship with key suppliers at strategic level to drive realization of savings, supply efficiency, innovation across the group.Develop and manage frame agreement with key Suppliers (when it makes sense)Support / Co-Lead Local Negotiations with stakeholders and countries for regional local supplier

  • Health and Safety / Sustainable ProcurementEnsure that Global Category management contributes to the Group Health and Safety ambition and to Sustainable Procurement objectives achievement.


Education/Qualifications



  • University degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, IT. Advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA)


Experience



  • 5 years in senior procurement management with exposure to; services procurement especially IT, complex strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards

  • Proven performance in managing, executing, and developing an international team in  global or regional /  zonal procurement function (or equivalent), with requisite drive and energy to ensure a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered

  • Experience in different geographies and managing different cultures


Knowledge & Skills



  • Business & economics, Marketing & Sales, Procurement, legal & contractual areas, Engineering

  • Technical credibility to challenge/influence internal stakeholders and has a strong understanding of the spend categories and cost drivers to challenge both local category managers and suppliers

  • Demonstrated broad understanding of the content, processes and delivery channels in the field of the assigned category, with sufficient knowledge in category to challenge and drive change and innovation

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence effectively at all levelsAbility to build and contribute to influential networks
