About the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuroengineering
The Wyss Center (www.wysscenter.ch) is non-profit organization focused on the translation of neurotechnology for human benefit. The Wyss Center’s experienced multidisciplinary neurotechnology development team from industry and academia provides the integrated scientific, engineering, clinical, regulatory and business expertise required to guide high risk, high reward projects on their journey from research to product.


The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:



  • Assist the Legal Services Manager in drafting and formatting correspondence, preparing agreements, renewals, intellectual property documentation and legal documents in English and French;

  • Perform legal and intellectual property documentary searches, and prepare summaries;

  • Ensure set-up and maintenance of legal and IP databases;

  • Prepare drafts of correspondence with external collaborators, external advisors (legal and intellectual property attorneys) and perform proofreading of different documents (legal correspondence and agreements);

  • Assist Legal Services Manager in daily work to support Wyss Center projects;

  • Help in drafting and keeping up-to-date legal templates (policies, agreements, administrative, reports…);

  • Support administration and maintenance of intellectual property portfolio (mainly patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights) being in contact with internal team and external attorneys;

  • Manage the agenda and organize legal meetings and travel arrangements; 

  • Provide secretarial, administrative and general support to the Legal Services Manager;

  • Review and transfer invoices;

  • Ensure opening, creation, updating, follow-up, filing and archiving of legal and intellectual property files and all related documents; ensure their classification and filing; documentation tracking.


Profil requis


The ideal candidate will be an organized, proactive self-starter with an interest in science who works with energy, enthusiasm and initiative. The position offers an ideal opportunity to further develop skills in legal and IP matters as support for scientific and technological research and development activities.



  • Minimum two years of professional experience in an administrative legal/IP position or similar role;

  • Bachelor in law (two years) is a plus. A combination of education and experience may be considered;

  • Solid understanding of databases;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus;

  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and administrative coordination;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French;

  • Rigorous, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task;

  • Hands-on attitude and keen to work in a multicultural and technical environment;

  • Able to work autonomously while being a strong team-player;

  • Swiss National or holder of a Swiss work permit.


Reporting Line: Legal Services Manager


Fifty percent permanent contract.
