We are currently looking for a Medical Communications Project Manager, based in Zurich, Switzerland. In this position, you will report to the Head of Global Medical Excellence.

Your tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Provide project management support to the Medical Center of Excellence and collaborate closely with the Global Medical Affairs department through a multitude of projects focusing on her/his area of expertise


• Management of EU-wide KOL engagement plans across Medial Affairs, including all activities (including congresses, stand-alone meeting and Advisory Boards)


• Coordinate Medical Affairs activities at congresses (e.g. medical booth and its related activities, medical training and KOL engagement) in alignment with other Vifor functions 


• Budget planning support and tracking across Medical Center of Excellence


• Project management for selected Medical Center of Excellence projects


• Standardize and manage holistic KOL engagement plans in collaboration with Medical Affairs


• Key liaison with Congress Management, 3rd party vendors (e.g. agencies) and Medical teams in successful execution of medical affairs related activities (medical training, booth materials & staffing, KOL meetings) 


• Manage budgets for therapeutic area specific projects and act as point of contact for queries related to financial processes


• Develop and update Medical Center of Excellence dashboard


• Project management for selected Medical Center of Excellence projects

For this role we are looking for a flexible and efficient person bringing the following profile:

• Degree in Business Administration (KV, Handelsschule etc.) and/or degree in business related field


• 5 years or more experience in the pharmaceutical industry 


• Experience working with Medical Congresses or Professional Organizations


• Basic understanding of medical language and with willingness to develop understanding


• Minimum of 2 years of related experience as project coordinator


• Professional level in English in oral and in written communications


• Further languages like German an asset


• Excellent skills in Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Previous experience working with financial processing tools

You bring excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. You are able to interact professionally and productively. Display strong project coordination/management skills; reliable in completing tasks and delivering on commitments in a timely manner & sets priorities accordingly. You are able to resolve issues independently and appropriately. Ability to interface with senior leaders internally and externally (KOLs). Demonstrate a willingness to learn new approaches and to adapt to change. You have high ethical standards and integrity.
