LGT ILS Partners (LGT ILS) based in Zurich and Pfäffikon (SZ) is the insurance-linked investments boutique of LGT Capital Partners and a leading ILS Manager with over USD 5bn assets under management and a client base consisting primarily of institutional investors. The Fund Operations Specialist is part of the operations team at LGT ILS Partners (LGT ILS) and reports to the partners at LGT ILS. In this role, the candidate supports the business in the following key tasks:

• Performance tracking and fund valuation: establish weekly estimate valuations; check, validate and reconcile fund valuations from fund administrator vs internal systems;


• FX hedging: establish currency hedge amounts, obtain sign-off, execute orders, ensure settlement and establish trade documentation;


• Cash / collateral management: manage cash accounts, execute cash transfers between accounts, trade money-market positions (T-bills etc.), establish and maintain trust accounts; establish trust reports, monitor trust asset positions and liaise with service providers (custodian, administrator, insurance manager) to reconcile position reports;


• Trade processing: enter trades in banking trading system; ensure settlement with counterparties and mid-office; establish trade documentation, enter trades in proprietary portfolio management system;


• Support deal documentation for (cat) bond transactions: download relevant transaction files, enter and manage transaction data in LGT ILS’ proprietary portfolio management system, establish trade documentation.

Requirements

• Commercial apprenticeship in banking / finance or insurance / reinsurance (Kaufmännische Berufsschule KV / Berufsmatura), optional Bachelor degree;


• Solid relevant working experience in banking / finance, preferably in the field of fund administration/accounting (2 years+);


• Proficient language skills in German and English (any other language of advantage);


• Experience with Bloomberg and Avaloq systems are a plus;


• Ability to work independently, hands-on and great attention to detail;


• Pro-active and motivated team player.
