ETH Zurich is launching a new specialized Master Program in Quantum Engineering (MSc QE), starting Fall 2019. This new Master Program is a joint initiative of the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (D-ITET) and the Department of Physics (D-PHYS). It will train an elite group of engineers and scientists to promote the development of quantum technology. An integral part of the program are project-based QuanTech workshops. Head of Quantum Technology Workshops (30-50%) The task is to develop, implement, monitor and continuously improve the QuanTech workshops. The goal of these workshops is to provide students with a project-based, hands-on learning experience in the realm of quantum technology. As the responsible for Quantum Technology workshops, the successful candidate will serve as academic supervisor to enrolled students and be responsible for the design and development of QuanTech workshops. Furthermore, the successful applicant will monitor the learning progress on the student side and identify suitable methods to maximize effectiveness measured against the training goals of the program. To this end, the responsible will closely interact with students, lecturers, the program steering committee, both involved departments, and teaching specialists at ETH Zurich. This announcement targets highly motivated junior and senior professionals with a Ph.D. degree and extensive hands-on laboratory experience. Applicants must have a proven track record in experimental quantum science, as well as teaching experience at a university level.
