We Offer
An exciting role in Zurich that ensures an effective and efficient design & execution of the bank-wide compliance program mitigating economic sanctions risk. You will advise on complex clients and transactions and execute key programmatic initiatives.
As an authority you provide legal advice and counsel across a wide-spectrum of transactions and strategic investments. This includes investment and private banking relationships, such as analyzing deal structures and due diligence findings to assess legal, compliance, and reputational risks, and proposing compliance measures to mitigate any such risks.
You passionately collaborate on the continued evolution of our economic sanctions compliance program, making sure that it is aligned with emerging standard methodologies and industry trends.
You take on responsibility for evolving, maintaining, and improving sanctions compliance policies and procedures by encouraging a culture and operating a rhythm of achievement.
Actively monitor the performance of existing screening controls focused on clients, payments, and securities-related screening, while continually improving operational effectiveness.
Maintain established controls and design new controls calibrated to key risk areas within priority business divisions, markets, and products.
You build an industry-leading compliance framework and operating model by challenging the status quo and by developing forward-thinking and balanced control improvements.
Ensure that internal and external partners (including regulators) understand and support programmatic initiatives and their delivery benefits.
Maintain in-house expertise in applicable laws and communicate impact of developments in such laws to governance boards, transactional review committees, and other business partners as appropriate.
Being involved in industry working groups focused on control improvements allows you to improve your compliance knowledge on the job.
You Offer
At 3-6 years of relevant experience in delivering financial-crime compliance programs, with a particular substantive expertise in economic sanctions laws administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) and similar international regulators and / or in the area of anti-money laundering compliance.
You possess a very strong knowledge of the external environment, including regulatory expectations standard methodologies & new technologies.
You have a deep understanding of financial crime controls employed to mitigate varying levels of inherent risk related to customers, geographies, products, and services.
Ability to understand business issues and develop solutions that exceed regulatory requirements while minimizing impact to normal business processes.
You show a reliable ability to promote and take accountability for program quality and output.
You are convincing us with your excellent written and oral language skills in English and German.
Through the deep knowledge of MS Office products such as Excel you provide a valuable support for the Team.
