SWISS launched the performance project ‘Precise’ in 2018 within the Operations Planning & Control (S/Z) department. ‘Precise’ was set up to stabilize daily flight operations and ground processes on the one hand, and to create the necessary conditions for an optimum control basis on the other. ‘Precise’ ensures the necessary framework conditions for efficient, regular and punctual flight operations. ‘Precise’ consists of two important pillars: resilience and predictive steering.
As a data scientist, you play a central role in Precise's predictive steering. You will bring together operational data from various external and internal systems, define, analyze and model the necessary data sets and make suggestions for improving processes and making the best possible use of existing resources.
Since even the smallest changes in the internal and external framework conditions affect the efficiency of daily operations, the existing data and processes must be continuously evaluated and analyzed. This in order to be able to implement necessary adjustments and corrections in a timely and efficient manner.
