Why we are recruiting The World Economic Forum is renewing a significant part of its IT portfolio. This is a newly created position to join forces with the internal stakeholders for the successful delivery of the projects’ portfolio. Reporting Lines & Interactions This position reports to the Head of Infrastructure and Architecture. The successful candidate will closely partner with both the business lead(s) and the IT integration team. Breakdown of main responsibilities You will participate in the technical rollout of a portfolio of IT projects (ERP and Web technology). In your role you will accompany the projects throughout their lifecycle: from project management and PMO to test management to user onboarding. Once the systems are life you will manage the system(s). Smaller configuration changes will be no problem for you, for larger changes you will manage 3rd party specialists. • 60% project and system support• 20% user support and training• 20% Service management, in particular management of implementation and operations via 3rd parties. The successful candidate will be assessed on • Ability to successfully manage projects in a complex environment o Methodological rigour (agile and PMI)• Communication and technical leadership• Technical ability to create proofs of concept, review architecture and inspect code• Navigate a diverse set of stakeholders, internal and external Preferred Requirements and Experience • You have a compelling academic background in IT or Engineering• Project management and/or Agile methodology certification would be a plus• 5 to 10 years’ relevant work experience, experience in strategic consulting and/or start-up experience may be a plus• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Why work at the Forum We believe that progress happens by bringing together people from all walks of life who have the drive and the influence to improve the state of the world by building awareness and co-operation, shaping mind-sets and agendas and driving collective action.
