Any School – ERC Starting Grants for Promising Young Researchers

Context :

ERC Starting Grants target early-career scientists who have already produced excellent supervised work, and who are ready to work independently and show potential to be a research leader. Through this program, the European Research Council supports high-risk/high-gain projects with 1.5 million Euros for a period of 5 years.

As a host institution, EPFL welcomes excellent candidates who wish to apply to this unique career funding scheme, under the following conditions:

• An EPFL laboratory must be ready to host the candidate for the entire duration of the project


• Full HR requirements must be fulfilled


• The Director of Institute and the Dean of the School in which the laboratory is integrated must support the candidate
