EHS & Security Specialist

EHS & Security Specialist – your future position ?
 


As EHS & Security Specialist, your role will be key to support EHS initiatives on Vernier site.


 


In this position reporting directly to Site EHS Manager, your main responsibilities will be the following:


 



  • Act as a EHS expert – You will act as the main EHS point of contact for change management practices (MOC) and will participate in Engineering & Maintenance projects monitoring from risk analysis to device installation. Moreover, you will be responsible for organizing regular site safety inspections, reporting findings and following up on correction and prevention actions. You will actively support and coach departments on EHS standards and will participate in the implementation of our EHS culture and strategy.


 



  • KPIs and tracking tools management – You will be responsible for classifying EHS events (accidents, near-misses and at risk situations), coaching on the creation of root-cause analysis and validating REX information sheet. You will closely follow the site EHS indicators and will manage the reporting accordingly.

     


  • Compliance – You will maintain and improve EHS processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with Swiss legislation, Givaudan Group and ISO standards. You will also be responsible for coordinating and carrying out the compliance assessment with regulatory requirements and Givaudan standards, establishing and following the action plan with stakeholders and following up on the indicators. You will participate in the safety management system implementation of the ISO 45001 and will help maintain the ISO 14001 certification.

     


  • Training and communication – You will be in charge of developing and delivering internal EHS trainings and will also contribute to and support the organisation of external trainings . You will actively participate in the preparation and coordination of various EHS information meetings and will drive the site EHS campaigns.

Your professional profile includes:


 



  • University Degree in EHS or related discipline. Diploma as “Chargé(e) de sécurité MSST” is an asset ;

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in EHS in the chemical industry ;

  • Good knowledge of ATEX principles

  • Good command of the EHS Swiss Legal Requirements

  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards

  • Process safety knowledge is a plus

  • Fluent in French and very good knowledge of English
