Principal HW Engineer (m/f/d) 100%

For our international partner, Roche Diagnostics International Ltd. based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Principal HW Engineer in fluid dynamics .

Main Tasks

• Accountable to assess and develop new technologies regarding liquid handling solutions for IVD product development


• Responsible to evaluate cost efficient and reliable concepts which fulfil the system needs and assist the product development team to take into consideration all liquid handling aspects


• Support other engineers in all fluid dynamic and general simulation aspects using computational fluid dynamics (CFD)


• Model fluid channels of sensors and general fluid pathways for blood gas and electrolyte testing to find the optimal fluidic design


• Verify your models with experimental results


• Drive the technical direction of the project and generate novel solutions


• Build up system knowhow and needs in the area of blood gas and electrolyte testing and translate them into reliable design


• You act as a reviewer for the product development

Requirements

• M.Sc or PhD in mechanical engineering with focus on fluid dynamics


• Generating innovative concepts and optimization proposals in the area of liquid handling


• Experienced in using CFD software and techniques to simulate fluid flows, including grid generation, simulation and post-processing


• Experienced in verifying your results experimentally


• Good communication skills to interact with different stakeholders (other engineers, project managers,…)


• Excellent German skills and a good knowlege of English


• Teamplayer and highly capable of working independently


• Good IT Skills: ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, MATLAB
