Our Nestle Research Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland develops for Nestlé worldwide, new products, processes and packaging concepts in the areas of Milk and Nutrition. In addition it also provides technical assistance to our factories.


 


For our NPTC Ambient Dairy Innovation Department, we are looking for a “Sensory and Consumer Specialist Associate”. Your main mission will be to provide sensory and consumer insight to support product and technology development projects and contribute to success in Innovation/renovation activities. Design and manage consumer research. Manage and coordinate sensory activities within given product categories (Dairy, Beverage).


 


Key responsibilities



  • Design and Execute consumer studies with excellence:Propose best approach to provide consumer guidance to projects and execute research with external agencies. Define clear and time bounded plans. Manage studies: plan and design then analysis, reporting and presentation of results in line with best practices and expectations.

  • Provide consumer insighton request, on specific topics.

  • Manage sensory activities: Manage sensory requests and coordinate the work with the panel leader and different stakeholders, in order to ensure lean and transparent execution. Write and manage sensory documentation.

  • Accountable for sensory panel performance and panel recruitmentwhenever needed with the support of panel leader and external agency.

  • Coachthe Sensory Panel Leader and/or technician to reach excellence in execution and autonomy.

  • Be responsible for good laboratory practices, compliant and high quality deliveries. Manage relevant sensory/consumer guidelines and standards.

  • Build and share knowledge:Contribute to improve sensory and consumer knowledge and methodological development in NPTC Dairy. Contribute to internal trainings and to knowledge building and sharing in our internal consumer and sensory network across R&D and Nestlé. On request, share knowledge to broader audience (trainings, workshops, visitors...).


Education and experience 

  • Master Degree in food science, with specialization in sensory and consumer field

  • 2-3 years of experience in sensory evaluation and consumer insight, preferably in FMCG from R&D side.

  • Experience in consumer product testing and good knowledge in market research

  • Experience in the dairy field is an advantage

  • A broad experience from business side is a plus

  • Fluent in English, German is an advantage
