• Responsible for producing planned output (volume, quality, time) within budget and in compliance with all applicable government regulations and internal company standards
• Formulates policies, programs and objectives affecting the schedule, quality and cost of manufactured products
• Directs and coordinates production according to quality and quantity specifications within cost objectives
• Continually improves performance, product quality and efficiency of manufacturing processes
• Ensures all groups within manufacturing area are properly staffed and coordinated to perform duties effectively
• Develops next generation of leaders
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in a science or business related field; MBA preferred
• 15+ years' experience in pharmaceutical operations with specific experience in 2 of the following areas: quality assurance, technical services, engineering, supply chain or manufacturing operations
• 10 years management experience
• Demonstrated experience in financial management and understanding of business value drivers and regulatory compliance
• Track record in operational management of a cGMP plant or manufacturing unit preferred
• Experience in managing large teams / workforces >500
