The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for all aspects within test automation, starting from identifying test automation potential and executing a POC up to implement and execute automated tests.

Furthermore, the Test Automation Engineer should define test automation standards and is responsible for the maintenance, bug fixing and upgrade of the test tool Tosca.

IHRE AUFGABEN

• Review of requirements specification and defined test cases to identify test automation potential


• Define the appropriate test techniques for test automation


• Consolidate test sets, test data and static data


• Make suggestions for improvement of test ware


• Coordinate with stakeholder


• Provide support for Tosca


• Assume application responsibility for Tosca (maintenance, bug fixing, upgrade)


• Define test automation concept, best practices, methods


• Define and maintain interfaces between the used test tool


• Establish nightly runs for regression testing (combined with nightly builds)


• Support projects to define the test automation approach (execute POC)


• Design of keywords


• Execute and document automated tests


• Implementation of existing custom controls and keywords in Tosca

IHRE FÄHIGKEITEN

• Higher Education in Computer Science (University, University of Applied Sciences or equivalent diploma)


• Multiple years  experience in test case design and test data management


• Test Management / Test Engineering experience (ISTQB standard)


• Certified Tosca Specialist (Long term test automation experience with Tosca)


• Structured approach to solve tasks and problems


• Quick comprehension, solution-oriented approach and strong analytical thinking


• Very strong communication and planning skills


• Very good German and English language skills (written and verbal - minimum C2)


• Able to lead process changes into an organisation


• Team Player


• Customer oriented


• Valid Swiss Work Permit is a key requirement
