Manager Application Engineering
Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse competitor products in respect of upgraded designs and new products. Suggest and formulate adequate solutions for our engines to R&D and Operations to keep our product competitive
Develop Value Proposition for low-speed engine installation for different ship segments
Technical- and economical evaluation of propulsion systems based on diesel- and gas engines
Technical support of Sales Directors/Managers
Preparation of technical brochures/whitepapers
Preparation of Papers for International Ship Machinery- and Emission Conferences
Customer visits for product presentations and technical discussions together with Sales staff
Support marketing activities and internal training seminars
Statistical evaluations
Requirements
MSc or BSc Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Nav. Architect
10 years of experience within the industry
Understanding of shipping- and shipbuilding markets
High technical marine engine knowledge
Distinct analytical and structured way of working
Experienced user of software - word, power point and excel (incl. programing experience)
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Strong capability in technical writing
Good presentation skills
Willingness to travel
