Contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic goals to grow and continuously optimize the Group’s portfolio through M&A transactions in a way that maximizes value, ensures an optimal return and risk profile, and stands in alignment with group policies and guidelines.                                                         
The Senior M&A Manager will play a critical role in the origination of deals and coordinate the execution of projects (divestment, listing, dilution, merger, acquisition, joint-venture, financial investment and other strategic partnerships) considered at the corporate or country level. This also includes the interface management to integration and separation.


Responsibilities



  • Identification, pipeline management and assessment of potential M&A projects

  • Steering and driving deal execution of mid-sized transactions (incl. structuring, due diligence, financial analysis and stakeholder management)

  • Coordinating external advisers (accounting firms, banks, etc) and multi-disciplinary internal teams at Group and Country level

  • Act as an advisor to Country Leaders in the evaluation and execution of bolt-on acquisitions or restructuring involving third parties

  • Supporting the Head of M&A and the team in its daily activities

  • Develop, maintain and improve internal processes for an aligned and structured approach to executing M&A projects

  • Establish and disseminate best practices for M&A throughout the group

  • Driving for results: comfortable making recommendations based on a balance of factors, measures the impact of her/his actions and takes personal accountability for the results


Education/Qualifications



  • Master’s degree in finance, economics or law. Additional qualifications, e.g., CFA is a plus


Experience



  • Minimum of 5 to 6 years professional M&A experience in a leading investment bank or private equity firm

  • Experienced working across the different phases of managing acquisitions and divestitures incl. origination, due diligence, valuation, negotiation

  • Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at different seniority levels

  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a high energy environment where resilience and timely turn-around of quality work is essential

  • Experienced working in multinational and multi-cultural environments a plus

  • Solid understanding of macroeconomic and market dynamics, strategic analysis, financial and legal structuring concepts

Language Requirements

English as base working language. Additional languages are a plus

Travel Requirements

Around 20-50% of the time spent travelling internationally
