We are seeking a Senior Professional MES (Manufacturing Execution System) who will be based at our operational headquarters in Zurich. Vifor Pharma is running S/4 HANA and MES (Werum) program to optimise and redesign the business processes for TechOps. The project is starting with the build phase in Werum PAS-X. Apart of this program there are several parallel projects going on which increase the workload on the internal COE department. In this role, you will report to EA Transformation Program Management, and your tasks will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Align closely MES needs with SAP COE up to process control technology and ensure integrated set-up and operation 


• Manage and transition towards outsourced services including contract review, regular SLA check, upgrades, and maintenance windows; coordinate different resources during projects and manage escalation processes


• Work closely with the stream leads and business process owners to deliver the solution 


• Make sure that the designed solutions will be sustainable and meet company needs 


• Report project issues to Project PMO and line manager 


• Manage service providers and vendors


• Ensure that the components and systems are standardized, available, stable and secure 


• Ensure compliance of GxP-relevant systems/components operation and maintenance during their operational life 


• Ensure that all requests addressed by systems/components are handled according to agreed SLAs 


• Collaborative work with the responsible business areas


• Ensuring and Defending of the validation status of the Document Management System in internal and external audits 


• Lead and coordinate projects in regards to the QMS system 


• Support the MES Program Werum Pas-X


• Ensuring support for the power-users 

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in IT with relevant experience in MES with the following essentials skills and experience:

• Implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems preferable Werum PAS-X


• 5 years of experience preferably in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and project/automation/IT support 


• Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis on complex sized projects 


• Excellent understanding of cGMP's, SDLC methodologies and Lean Sigma principles 


• Demonstrated ability to analyse and define business problems, develop business cases 


• Identifying appropriate process and technological solutions 


• Proven facilitation, meeting/workshop management, project management and change management skills 


• Fluent level in English (in oral and written communication)

The following skills would be advantageous:

• Maintaining strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations


• IT security knowledge


• Knowledge of PMI or other project management methods


• Experience with ITIL processes (ITIL Foundation certification)


• Knowledge in IT Service Management 


• Knowledge of Oracle Database 


• Additional languages
