The AO Foundation is a medically guided, nonprofit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by a group of visionary surgeons, today, the AO has a global network of 200,000 health care professionals. Each year it offers over 830 educational events around the world, which are supported by nearly 9,000 faculty and are attended by over 58,000 participants. It has 20,000 surgeon members working in the fields of trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial (CMF), veterinary, and reconstructive surgery.


AOTrauma is the largest clinical division within the AO Foundation and continues to uphold the long established and successful history of the AO Foundation. AOTrauma provides clear direction and generates and distributes knowledge through research and education programs. The organization educates and facilitates open dialogue to encourage innovation, and influences trauma and orthopedic surgery.



We are looking for a highly motivated person for our office in Davos, Switzerland for the position of:


 


Project Assistant Education Middle East & Northern Africa (MENA) 50% - temporary


 


In this role you will support the AOTrauma MENA Educational Manager. You will report to the Regional Director AOTrauma MENA. In this role you will be required to support the AOTrauma MENA Educational Manager in event organization including:



  • Coordination of event programs for budget creation

  • Coordination payment of educational event invoices

  • Coordination of educational event contracts

  • Coordination of event documents

  • Coordination of voucher requests

  • Coordination of external communication via AOTME education inbox


In order to master this challenge, you have:



  • Commercial education or an event management background

  • Two to four years of practical business experience in a similar role

  • Good to excellent written and verbal English communications skills and a reasonable command of German

  • The ability to effectively work with tight deadlines and work independently within allocated resources

  • Very string organizational skills, a high customer orientation and good attention to detail

  • You are a motivated and energetic self-starter with trustworthiness and reliability, and you enjoy multi-tasking
