The AO Foundation is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by a group of visionary surgeons. The AO today has a global network of 200,000 health care professionals. Each year it offers over 830 educational events around the world, which are supported by nearly 9,000 faculty and are attended by over 58,000 participants. It has 20,000 surgeon members working in the fields of trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial (CMF), veterinary, and reconstructive surgery.

AO Clinical Investigation & Documentation (AOCID) is an institute of the AO Foundation and the provider of choice of the AO Community in clinical research, clinical research education, and health economics. We plan and execute the most pertinent clinical studies, design state-of-the-art clinical research education, and apply health economic techniques to validate current practice in the field of trauma and musculoskeletal disorders—all in compliance with the ICH GCP (E6) guidelines and ISO 14155 standards.



We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team in Davos, Switzerland, as


Study Assistant, 100% temporary


In this role you will be required to:



  • Assist project managers

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of databases (text script execution)

  • Assess data and documentation quality in cooperation with project managers

  • Validate clinical data according to data validation plans (DVPs) and handle its query management

  • Evaluate data (data checks) together with project managers and a medical statistician

  • Create data clarification forms (DCFs)

  • Enter clinical data and perform quality checks

  • Create worksheets and update them after database changes

  • Print and send study documents

  • Support project managers by preparing documents for ethics commission submissions

  • Prepare and control patient compensation invoices for/from clinics

  • Prepare study-related material for archiving


In order to master this challenge you have:



  • Business education, additional medical knowledge is a plus

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in German and English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills

  • Reliability and attention to detail

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

  • Flexibility and customer-focused mindset

  • Structured approach to administrative tasks

  • Independent allocation of resources for the different tasks
