The team of Professor Josef Zweimüller at the Department of Economics is hiring one or two research assistants for projects on migration, social insurance, and labor markets.
In our research projects we analyze large administrative data sets from Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and France. The main goal of these projects is to contribute to the scientific debate in labor economics. We also aim to participate in the public debate by writing policy reports for government agencies (e.g., the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, SECO).
Your responsibilities
Your main task is to help us prepare and analyze the data.
Additional tasks include reviewing literature and preparing reports and presentations.
Your profile
The ideal candidate
Studies economics or a related subject (BA or MA level).
Is motivated to actively collaborate on empirical research projects.
Is dedicated to mastering Stata and LaTeX. Previous experience is a plus.
Can work independently and diligently in the preparation and analysis of the data.
