The Secretariat of the WTO is seeking to fill the position of Project Management Associate in the Graphic and Event Design, Print and Distribution Section of the Languages, Documentation and Information Management Division.


General Functions

Working in the Project Management Office, under the supervision of the Chief of Section, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:

1. Act as a focal point for coordinating graphic and event design, print & distribution projects.

2. Provide assistance to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

3. Develop detailed project plans, coordinate internal and external resources, track project progress and measure performance using appropriate project management tools.

3. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

4. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, graphic designers and production specialists.

5. Participate in preparing purchase requests, client's terms of reference, invitations to tender, and framework contracts to help source outside companies when needed.

6. Provide recommendations in the review and analysis of technical solutions for improving the project management process.

7. Participate in other section activities, as needed.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Completion of secondary school and/or equivalent technical or commercial school. Project management certification/training would be an advantage.

Knowledge and skills:

Technical skills:

Project management experience and proven knowledge of one or more project management tools, including Microsoft Office 365, Atlassian Confluence, Jira, and Freedcamp or similar is required.

General knowledge of office work, preparing summary records, statistics and terms of reference.

Experience in events management with an understanding of graphic and event design and print production processes would be an advantage.

Behavioural skills:

Effective communication skills; ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines; ability to take initiative and cooperate with other colleagues in an international setting; ability to work independently and be a team player;
Work Experience:

At least 5 years' relevant experience is required.
Languages:

Excellent English is required, including the ability to draft accurately, concisely and rapidly. A good knowledge of at least one of the other two WTO working languages (French and Spanish) is an advantage.

English language is required at a level corresponding or equivalent to a minimum of C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)).
