About the Role
Are you excited to conduct research on an actual topic in insurance? Do you want to help us push forward the frontiers of our knowledge? Do you wish to invest your time to research a field of societal interest?
We are offering an opportunity for a 6 months internship to a young colleague, working within an interdisciplinary global team of risk managers, quants and business people, and deliver a key insight to our firm. Your project is in the field of long-term commitments that arise from insurance contracts and includes the following tasks:

About the Team
You will join of Swiss Re Institute which provides research in support of the development and implementation of Group and Business Unit strategies. At the same time you will work closely with Swiss Re's Risk Governance & Steering team. This team provides analytics services and aggregate the risk landscape of Swiss Re, supporting the company in risk monitoring. As the global centre of competence for providing innovative risk analyses for business steering and regulatory solvency reporting the team collaborates closely with globally leading tech providers, internal IT and Risk Modelling teams and uses industry-leading analytics and modelling tools.
About You
Are you a skilled, open-minded individual who can handle ambiguity and is passionate about working in an interdisciplinary and multi-cultural environment?
Duration of internship: 6 months; preferred start date November 2019.
