M&A Manager (w/ German Language Skills)

In the group functions, at our head office location in Winterthur, Switzerland, highly qualified specialists in various disciplines work for the benefit of all our divisions.


 


As part of a larger interdisciplinary team and a company with real fire-power for value-adding acquisitions, we wish to strengthen our Business Development team with a dynamic and experienced M&A Manager. You will be involved in the entire end-to-end M&A process including acquisition strategy, deal origination / sourcing of opportunities, conducting due diligences, executing and closing deals, and the subsequent post-merger integration.


 


Tasks & responsibilities


 



  • Developing, defining and carrying-out Group’s acquisitive growth strategy

  • Originating new business proposals and driving M&A pipeline building.

  • Assessment of and contact initiation with potential targets and strategic partners

  • Performing business and financial analysis, developing business plans and valuation

  • Executing due diligence process, managing all internal and external workstreams

  • Developing transaction structures and leading deal terms and SPA negotiations

  • Developing, preparing and negotiating transaction financing

  • Preparing and executing deal closing

  • Supporting and overseeing post-merger integration


 


Your profile


 



  • University degree and several years of experience in either professional services, Private Equity / Investment Banking / Big4, or a M&A boutique.

  • Polyvalent skillset, confident at handling complex financial, strategic, or legal and regulatory topics associated with M&A transactions. 

  • Previous experience in a similar company to Sulzer, or in Sulzer’s key markets is highly desirable

  • Very good relationship management skills, able to assist and guide decision-makers throughout the entire process.

  • Good presentation and communication skills, capable of interacting with CEOs and Boards.

  • Ability to make effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities.

  • Fluent in English and German (mandatory requirement). Further languages an asset.
