Manage the Treasury portfolio of strategy and investments based on the cash forecast requirements.
Supervise the treasurer manager in managing his day to day activities, the planning of liquidity, deadlines and constantly monitors these in order to optimise the return on the funds invested whilst ensuring the necessary liquidity based on the known deadlines.
Support and helps to manage other asset classes and participate not only in investment portfolio management but also in developing the asset allocation strategy.
With the CFO, takes part in the general development of the policy to manage financial risk within including hedge accounting.
Managing the fixed-return investment portfolio.
Monitor the performance of the equity/equity investment portfolio managed by external financial institutions.
Advise on the management of its investments and liquidity.
Manage foreign exchange risk and optimize the profitability of investments.
Presents monthly reports on the various portfolios and strategies to be followed to the Treasury and Finance Committee.
Quickly informs the line management of any problems encountered and proposes solutions and recommendations.
Monitor financial transactions across group entities.
Follows up relations between the company and its banking counterparties.
Respects the limits and powers delegated to the Treasury function by Treasury committee and the Executive Board. Work within the treasury policy.
Account Payable Management:
Supervise and monitor the activity of preparing, reconciling and booking the AP ledgers.
Supervise and monitor the activity of preparing payments accurately.
AP monthly, interim and yearend closing executed accurately and on time by the AP team.
Implement improvements to the AP processes in alignment with the Finance processes.
Manage, develop, monitor and evaluate appropriate performance measures for the AP team, coach and evaluation documented on regular basis.
Monitor the AP team quality and accuracy of information booked in the AP ledgers.
Implement the appropriate internal controls and the documentations are built into the AP process. Ensure all finance activities within entity scope comply with the effective application of agreed accounting policy, procedures and governance systems.
Provide excellent Customer service to all departments and support them on payments procedures and questions.
Work closely within finance department units to ensure collaboration and constructive solution findings. Escalate non-compliance control issues and risks to management.
Supervise the financial relationship towards Members (Sessions / Commissions ).
Special projects/tasks:
Ongoing and special tasks/projects potentially assigned by the CFO and deemed necessary for the overall finance function. This work may vary year on year.
Education, language and IT competences:
University qualification or equivalent (master’s, bachelor’s, federal qualification, etc.) or professional career deemed equivalent.
Experience of at least 10 to 15 years including 5 to 6 years minimun in bank finance training.
Practical experience of the finance and banking industry.
Experience in people management.
Mother tongue French or English, with an excellent knowledge of English or French (spoken and written).
Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as internet searching.
Specific SAP training an advantage.
