Tax Associate



The mission of the tax department is to ensure full compliance with tax obligations, full awareness and active management of tax risk, effective tax support to all business divisions and senior management.



The objective is to support the Group Tax Officer to take the tax function to a higher level of efficiency implementing best practice procedures and leading the transformation process of the tax function imposed by more demanding tax obligations and new available technologies.



The current position will get interaction with a very diverse pool of people in an international environment comprising both local and operational colleagues in a wide range of countries and global headquarters staff.



The main responsibilities of this position are to perform the following activities:

  • Provide support in defining, designing and implementing the transfer pricing model and documentation developing analyses and reports as required and reviewing the inter-company price determination policies and calculations;

  • Assist with Tax Audits and litigations coordinating local finance teams and tax advisors, and assisting with the issuance of clear guidelines on the overall litigation management strategy;

  • Assistance in support surrounding day to day tax advice to local business units and finance colleagues covering both direct and indirect tax issues;  

  • Provide assistance in tax support in relation to group restructuring projects, acquisitions and divestitures;

  • Provide assistance to management to help them with the implementation and execution of tax compliance procedures and risk assessment controls;

The ideal candidate has the following experience:

  • Master’s degree in Tax Law/ Economics or equivalent

  • At least 5 years’ experience in positions within tax, finance, or equivalent, in an international environment

  • Good understanding of local cultures and tax environments in several different jurisdictions

  • Organizational awareness, thorough understanding of Group Tax Management processes and principles with wide expertise of business best practices

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills with attention to details

  • Ability to understand and perform effectively in an organizational context where roles and responsibilities may change rapidly and be redeployed very quickly making the capacity to deal with ambiguity an essential asset

  • Team player with strong communication skills

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, Italian or French is a plus
