For our CSOS department (Clinical Supply Optimization Service) in Allschwil/Basel we are looking for a


Junior Supply Chain Manager (Clinical Trials)



As Junior Supply Chain Manager (Clinical Trials) you are the key point of contact for oversight and monitoring of stock levels at all Clinical Trial sites. This position is responsible for delivery and success of the study.

Your tasks:



  • Forecasting and tracking of all clinical supplies to ensure that all depots are provided with sufficient medication that the clinical sites can be supplied with medication for all patient visits, where appropriate, throughout the course of the trial

  • Work with Sales to coordinate a full-service approach with prospective clients

  • Develop new or improve existing business processes. Document, revise or develop associated training materials

  • Design and implement strategies to supply study drug to global clinical trials using sound supply chain techniques

  • Manage studies by leveraging the inventory management capabilities of Interactive Response Technology (IRT)

  • Manage the long-term drug supply planning of studies by use of Simulation System

  • Mentor and coach new associates on best practices associated with managing clinical supply chains

  • Keep updated on relevant cGMPs, GCPs and other regulatory requirements and ensure study management activities are aligned


Your profile:

  • Degree in Operations Management or science-related field required (equivalent work experience may be considered)

  • First experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management (Clinical Trials is a plus)

  • Understanding of clinical trial phases/designs and how this translates into the entire supply plan

  • Certified Project Management Professional is preferred.

  • Exemplary computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent organizational and self-management skills

  • Team player

  • Outstanding communication skills. Fluent in English – German is a plus
