Art Basel is seeking a dynamic and proactive person to join the Art Basel Operations Team in Basel as a:


Operations Associate 80%


Your responsibilities



  • Support the Operations Manager in administrative tasks (meeting organization, writing meeting minutes, create reports, maintaining contact database)

  • Manage the registration process before and during the fair

  • Create various show-related manuals, information kits and documents

  • Support in overall improvement of the Operations of the Show

  • Various responsibilities (hospitality, security, quality control) during the fair


Your profile



  • Degree in business administration

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar large-scale event and/or project

  • Experience working for an Art Gallery, Art Fair, Art Freight Handler or any experience within the Artworld is a plus

  • Can-do attitude!

  • Ability to make decisions and to prioritize tasks, and to remain calm under stress

  • Interest in new digital project management tools

  • Advanced user of computerized systems including Microsoft Office package, Microsoft Teams, Project Management & collaboration tools

  • Fluency in German & English – ability to write meeting minutes & create content
