For its product development team, which designs and industrializes an extremely robust, cost-effective
and digital medical X-ray system, Pristem is looking for highly motivated, proactive and talented
engineers with a good track record in the industry of medical devices.


Position Description
The primary mission of the senior electronic engineer is to ensure the entire development of all electronic
circuits and related firmware in our medical X-ray equipment.
For that purpose, the senior electronic engineer is responsible for the specification, design, manufacturing,
verification, validation and medical certification of all electronic developments and firmware .He/She shall
lead electronic development activities, choose the tools and establish the appropriate partnerships to
achieve the quality, planning and budget objectives with the right balance between in-house and
subcontracted design. He/She shall constantly interact with the system engineering manager and the
project manager, as well as all engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize the integration of his
work into the complete system.
These responsibilities shall be conducted in accordance with the objectives and directives defined by the
CTO to which he/she reports, the requirements defined with the system engineering manager, as well as
the quality and regulatory constraints under control of the quality manager*.*

Main Tasks and Responsibilities



  • Review and complete the electronic architecture of the whole product ,specify the related
    modules to comply with the system and regulatory requirements.


  • Lead the development of the electronic circuits and related firmware:
    ─ split development work between himself, internal team and partners;
    ─ follow execution and deliverables according to project objectives (performance, timelines and
    costs);
    ─ ensure the regular integration and testing of the full electronic circuits and firmware;
    ─ ensure with the system engineering manager the compliance between the electronic
    development work and the rest of the overall product.


  • Identify and participate to the selection of partners and collaborators involved in electronic
    developments.


  • Define and ensure the proper usage of the tools and processes required for efficient electronic
    development (i.e. design, documentation, test and verification).


  • Ensure the electronic development, the verification and validation according to active medical
    devices standards ,as well as robustness objectives and environmental constraints .


  • Assess the robustness and durability of the electronic parts by calculation, simulation and test;
    develop circuits to achieve outstanding performance and reliability in challenging environments.


  • Define the means for testing and manufacturing of all electronic modules and firmware.


  • Ensure the technical activity related to the life cycle management of the electronic boards (change
    requests, obsolescence management, quality improvements….).

Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Minimum 10 years of experience in analog and digital electronic developments for high quality-
    price ratio and extreme reliability products

  • Strong experience in highly regulated industry with successful track records in CE product marking
    (CE mark of active medical device is a plus)

  • Experience in analog, power electronic and uProcessor circuits design and programming

  • Experience in leading internal and external development activities in a large variety of electronic
    domains is a plus (high voltage, high power, battery powered, sensors, camera systems, EMC,
    reliability testing, PCB manufacturing and testing, etc.)

  • Ability in working in a team addressing complex systems including electronic, imaging, sensing,
    software and mechanic development

  • Experience in design reviews, FMEA, reliability analysis and life cycle of electronic components and
    systems

  • Open-minded, proactive, persistent, result-driven and able to work under pressure in changing
    environments (startup)

  • Able to produce outstanding quality and reliability required for our solutions to work durably in
    the most challenging contexts
