We are searching for a Global Head Medical Information and Library Services to provide strategic direction for the Global Medical Information function, ensuring integration within the business. In this position, you will report to the Global Head Medical Centre of Excellence. Your tasks will also include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Medical Global Information and Library Services Global Team and ensure the running of an accurate, fair and balanced medical information service
  


• Ensure up-to-date, high quality and relevant medical, technical and pharmaceutical information on Vifor Pharma designated products to internal and external customers
  


• Support and liaise with Vifor Pharma staff, affiliates and partners to ensure high quality responses to customers, globally
  


• Collaborate with other members of the Global Medical Affairs Department, including Medical Leads, to ensure consistent and high quality of responses to enquiries
  


• Identify and refer appropriate safety related enquiries to Global Drug Safety
  


• Act as the Medical Lead for the assessment of Benefit/Risk profiles for nephrology products
  


• Develop Key Information Documents (KIDs) for Vifor Pharma products and ensure that all KIDs are up-to-date, scientifically accurate, fully referenced and approved
  


• Manage and administer medical information systems, ensuring compliance, and ensure affiliate teams are trained on the systems
  


• Establish service level agreements for medical information processes and lead continuous improvement for processes
  


• Ensure the smooth and compliant running of library or bibliography services for the provision of literature support for Vifor Pharma
  


• Oversee the copyright approval process through Library Services
  


• Keep informed about latest trends, technologies and regulations

The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Pharmacology or a Life Science field in addition to the following experience:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Medical Information at an affiliate and HQ level, preferably including 2 or more years leading a Medical Information program
  


• Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively evaluate medical scientific literature
  


• Professional level in English, both in oral and written communications
  


• Experience of working in a customer focused environment
  


• Awareness of the legal and ethical issues affecting the provision of information in the different markets served
  


• Experience in Pharmacovigilance is preferred
