In this challenging position you are responsible for escalated complaint investigations and providing engineering level support for highly demanding customer support cases in the area of Treatment Planning and Management Systems, databases and networking. You will interact with global customers, service engineers, product security, and development teams worldwide. SpecificResponsibilitiesWhere first and second level field service support, helpdesk or application specialists have failed to isolate or fix problems, you step in and diagnose, troubleshoot and debug complex database inconsistencies, performance issues as well as software and networking malfunctions. You will be able to identify issues and threats potentially related to cyber security and will be able to drive investigation and problem solving together with Varian service engineers, product security team, and customer IT experts. Using your technical expertise, you drive product improvements and write requirements for future product versions. You analyze customer complaint data and provide analysis to engineering teams.  High level of analytical and problem-solving skillsSound expertise in MSSQL databases and Microsoft networkingDICOM knowledge is an advantageCyber Security experience is an advantageFluency in English language, both written and spoken, being able to clearly articulate complex issuesOther language is seen as an assetA bachelor or master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in information technology or biomedical engineering You are communicative, analytical and very reliable. You can express your ideas and research in written form. You know how to approach complex tasks and analyze them. Moreover, you are highly self-motivated, always looking for ways to further your knowledge and better your performance. You are well equipped to analyze complex problems and are not satisfied until you find a solution. You are used to working independently, yet open to discussing ideas and solutions with your colleagues. You thrive in an international work environment and in cultivating your contacts with partners in R&D and Service Engineer Departments worldwide
