The Position:

As an intern in the Biochemistry group you will become part of a highly motivated team of 9 people devoted to the biochemical / biophysical characterization of antibodies and other recombinant proteins. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest state of the art laboratory and analytical equipment. The focus of the internship will be the characterization of recombinant proteins by liquid chromatography mass spectrometry.

During the internship your main tasks will include:

• Liquid chromatography mass spectrometry


• Quality control by biochemical analyses of the produced proteins  (size exclusion chromatography, SDS capillary electrophoresis)


• Protein modification (amine coupling, enzymatical digest)

​You are / have:

• an enthusiastic and scientifically interested person who enjoys teamwork and has a strong willingness to learn new techniques


• preferably a biology / biotechnology/biochemistry student with some lab experience


• excellent organizational skills and a pro-active knowledge sharing

In order to ensure that your application will be considered, you must include a current CV as well as a motivation letter.

Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents.
