We are seeking a highly motivated associate dedicated to the development and application of advanced cellular models of the human vasculature to improve the predictivity of drug safety assessment.



In this position, you will:



  • Be responsible for the design and execution of experimental work, and conduct data analysis

  • Perform routine lab work including passaging and maintenance of primary cells,

  • Routinely perform multi-color flow cytometry experiments and multiplex cytokine analysis, as well as fluorescent immunostaining and imaging.

  • Develop and run in vitro immune cell assays (cytokine release assays, purification and cultivation of PBMC, purification and differentiation of immune cell subsets, activation assays)

  • Assist with fresh tissue isolation and further primary human cell banking.


Profile:
You are a motivated research associate with excellent scientific, communication and organizational skills, fully committed to team effort but able to work independently.



For this position, we expect the following qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience in a research lab

  • Prior experience in cytokine (ELISA or multiplex methods), gene (qPCR) and protein (Western Blot) analysis.

  • Good experience in multi-color flow cytometry, ideally experience in the independent design and troubleshooting of multi-color flow cytometry panels on BD instruments.

  • Good experience and skills in mammalian (ideally primary) cell culture.

  • Good experience in standard fluorescent staining and imaging techniques.

  • Experience in in-vitro immune cell assays, including whole blood as well as PBMC isolation, cultivation and differentiation is a plus.

  • Familiarity with standard lab equipment and data analysis software (Excel, Prism) is desirable.

  • Should be able to conduct and detail original research in an independent fashion, in¨compliance with the electronic tools available.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
