C/4 HANA Senior Migration Consultant – CX Cloud MOVE

The SAP C/4 Hana Migration Senior Consultant (MSC) is responsible for providing technical oversight and direction for Cloud Migration and Upgrade delivery, improving the existing process and constantly finding ways to make it more efficient. The C/4 Hana Migration Senior Consultant has the qualifications and technical background to evaluate technical complexity on small to large scale implementations, identify risk and lead innovation to streamline and productize delivery. 

As a Migration Senior Consultant, you will work directly with internal teams, and sometimes with client and partner organizations, providing expert level technical assistance to identify complexities, repeatable operations and opportunities to reduce errors, and then identify technically viable solutions to be implemented to improve the overall process of Cloud Migrations and Upgrades. Optimise, streamline and automate are the key words to success. You must be able to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements in the delivery of the Cloud Migration and Upgrade program at large and contribute back to it by delivering technical solutions and automation, sometimes in collaboration with other internal teams. As MSC, you are expected to provide the deep technical knowledge and product expertise based on real world experience so that the full potential of the technology can be realized in order to meet the customers’ objectives. The complexity may vary from fairly straightforward to moderately complex, with single or multiple products and involve multiple environments (web, application, database servers). Work efforts focus primarily on delivering architectural and technical design, development and deployment services on Cloud Migrations and Upgrades. As an optimal candidate, you are able to operate under reduced or minimal supervision.

Your Responsibilities

• Expert-level knowledge of SAP Commerce platform


• Knowledge SAP C/4 Hana line of business (LoB) products such as SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Marketing Cloud, and SAP Revenue Cloud.


• Provide technical knowledge to help improve upgrades and migrations to SAP Commerce Cloud


• Identify areas where automation, or a streamlined approach, can be applied to reduce overall effort, eliminate risk, and increase delivered value.


• At times, collaborate with SAP Hybris Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), customers and partners to assess application and technical requirements by applying knowledge of the requirements and past project delivery experience to help identify risks and prioritize tasks

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science related field or equivalent experience


• Extensive IT experience, with strong SAP Commerce knowledge.


• Broad and deep technical experience of implementing and supporting large, complex multi domain, multisite server-based systems/networks


• Excellent knowledge in OO software architecture/design


• Excellent experience in Spring and Java/J2EE, with strong hands-on programming skills


• Leverages industry and organizational standards, patterns and best practices to develop architectures that fulfil business strategies


• Advanced know how on various integration patterns and technologies used by SAP Commerce (SAP Commerce Data Hub, SCPI, Point-to-Point, or other ESB/Middleware)


• Advanced technical background and administration experience for development processes (Ant/Gradle/Maven, e.g. Commerce build strategy) and their automation on various technologies (Jenkins, Bamboo...)


• Advanced problem-solving skills within operations of e-commerce project (web, application and database tiers)


• Experience working with web services: RESTful, SOAP


• Network Security and IT Security experience is plus (SSL & DNS-Management, Whitelisting, VPN, web application firewall, OWASP)


• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to streamline and lead delivery within different internal teams


• Ability to build consensus without authority


• In-depth knowledge of various client side, server side, and database performance optimization


• Experienced in SAP Commerce maintenance and deprecation strategy


• Familiar with SAP Commerce Cloud feature set and roadmap


• Very good English language skills (verbal & written)


• Open-minded, challenges the status quo


• Excellent problem solving, presentation, organizational, and planning skills


• Self-motivated, ability to pick up things quickly


• Willingness to travel internationally, as required
