We are looking for a highly motivated Scientist to join our laboratories in the Neurodegeneration & Regeneration Section in Roche pRED Neuroscience Discovery to expand and strengthen our drug discovery efforts in the area of Parkinson’s/lysosomal biology and human pluripotent disease modelling.



  • You will develop human pluripotent cellular models of Parkinson’s and alzheimer’s Example :

    •  modelling lysosomal and lipid dysfunction 

    • Modelling neuronal/glial interactions




  • You will participate in project teams involved  identifying drug candidates for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer projects including developing novel target proposals

  • You will be responsible for both developing and implementing biochemical assays, human cellular assays, and rodent ex vivo brain analysis for Parkinson’s relevant projects

  • You will participate in project teams involved in identifying drug candidates for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer;s

  • As member of the neuronal stem cell project team in CNS discovery you will directly report to project leaders and senior level


Who you are



  • With a PhD in biochemistry/cell biology/ neurosciences or related discipline, and at least several years’ experience in the field

  • You have strong understanding and experience elucidating cellular mechanisms that underlie disease dysfunction

  • You have human (hIPSC derived) neurobiology (neuronal/glial disease modelling)

  • You have a passion for cellular/molecular neuroscience

  • You have proven track record of publishing in high impact journals

  • You have strong technical troubleshooting skills and you are used to paying attention to detail and adjusting to new challenges; your performance is driven by quality

  • You are used to work in a multidisciplinary environment and you have strong team skills

  • You have an excellent command of spoken and written English
