Your responsibilities:



  • Oversee our products and processes from a regulatory, compliance and risk perspective and ensure adequate documentation, including KYC, AML, asset management and quantitative modelling.

  • Maintain oversight on the regulatory landscape, understand changes and regulatory requirements for new markets

  • Risk management (Identify, assess, monitor, report and suggest mitigation measures regarding risks our company faces)

  • Manage regulatory projects and stakeholders such as regulators (e.g. FINMA).


Your typical projects:



  • Manage our relationship with regulatory bodies (FINMA, SRO), prepare applications to be prudentially supervised by FINMA according to new regulation (FIDLEG)

  • Oversee our KYC and anti-money laundering processes as well as data privacy regulation, manage our corporate guidelines and articles to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Support our product development from a legal and regulatory perspective, plan necessary steps regarding future regulatory requirements (FIDLEG/FINIG/Mifid II)

  • Further develop and document our quantitative models, e.g. portfolio optimization, strategic asset allocation, risk and return forecasts


Requirements


Your profile:



  • Degree in economics/econometrics or similar or degree in law, preferrably with a background in financial risk modelling.

  • 4+ years experience in managing regulatory compliance and risk management (or quantitative modelling) in the financial service industry.

  • Experience in the Swiss market is a must have.

  • Willingness to dive into relevant regulatory regimes such as Mifid II and FIDLEG/FINIG etc.

  • Hands-on and organized, comfortable working in a fast paced environment, good communication skills in both German and English

  • Self-motivated to take ownership and responsibility in a multi-disciplinary team

  • You need to hold or be eligible for a work permit in Switzerland (e.g. via Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship).
